Registered Nurses work in a variety of settings across St. Joseph's Elder Services and are responsible for patient care, taking vitals, educating patients, performing physical evaluations and evaluation tests, and collecting patient history. Registered nurses are an integral part of our team and have an opportunity to interact with a variety of patients and healthcare providers. They should demonstrate our organizational values: compassion, teamwork, accountability, excellence, and healing.
Candidates selected for the sponsorship program will be enrolled in Northeast Community College and accepted into the Practical Nursing/Associate Degree in Nursing program. As part of the program, each student will receive:
- Paid tuition for the 45-credit program
- An allotment for books
- Employment at Franciscan Healthcare or St. Joseph’s Elder Services*
Qualifications:
- Enrolled at Northeast Community College and accepted to the Associate Degree in Nursing
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and show academic promise
- Pass background check
- Required to accept gainful employment in their field of study for a specified period

*Employment at Franciscan Healthcare and/or St. Joseph’s Elder Services will be a requirement for a minimum of two years following graduation and passing RN Boards.
